Alerts
Slack
Alerts and the daily summary in a Slack channel.
Integration guide
Get a text for critical problems and a short automatic call when a site goes down. Each person gets them on their own verified number.
Overview
Setup
Step 1
Each person opens Settings → Profile, enters their mobile number and types the 6-digit code Rookflare texts them. Only mobile numbers are accepted.
Step 2
Open Notifications → Channels, select “Add channel” and choose Phone. Turn on “Send SMS for critical alerts”, “Call me when a site goes down” or both, and tick who gets them.
Step 3
The channel shows “SMS and calls” with the number of people. Phone channels have no test message; the card on the Channels tab shows how many phone alerts this month has used.
Step 4
On the Alert preferences tab, pick the lowest severity that alerts for each website (Critical, High, Medium or Low) and whether resolved notices and the daily summary go out. Visual changes to review follow the same setting.
Troubleshooting
They have no verified number yet. People without one can be chosen and start receiving alerts once they verify in Settings → Profile.
The monthly allowance is spent. Email and Slack alerts still go out, and phone alerts start again on the 1st.
Wait a minute before asking for a new code; Rookflare allows a few codes per hour per person and number. Check that the number is a mobile number with the right country code.
Each text or call to one person counts as one, so a critical issue texted to two people uses two. Failed sends do not count.
Only when a site or page stops answering, if the channel has calls turned on. Every other critical problem comes as a text.
Phone alerts go to the verified number of each chosen team member. A shared phone works if it belongs to a team member who verified it.
Add your address, pick the pages and approve the first scan as your baseline.
Plans start at €19 per month. Prices are provisional.
