Template

This page is a template pending legal review. It is not yet the agreement or policy that applies to you.

About these terms

Rookflare is provided by [legal entity, registration number and registered address]. These terms describe use of our website and monitoring service. You must be legally able to enter into a contract and authorized to act for any organization you represent. For questions, use our contact page.

What Rookflare does

Rookflare captures desktop and mobile screenshots, compares pages with approved baselines and checks for technical issues. Your plan sets the number of websites and pages, scan frequency, uptime checks, alert channels and history retention. Visual differences require your review: a detected change may be intentional.

Monitoring is periodic, not continuous. Scans and notifications can be delayed or fail. Rookflare does not guarantee that every issue will be detected, prevent outages or replace your own backups and operational checks.

Your account and websites

Keep your account details accurate, protect your credentials and manage team access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

Only add websites you own or have permission to monitor, including client websites. You authorize us to request and capture those pages for monitoring. Avoid pages containing sensitive or unnecessary personal data. Do not use the service for unlawful access, internal-network scanning, load testing, security attacks or bypassing access restrictions.

You retain your rights to submitted content. You grant us permission to process and store it only as needed to provide and secure the service. Rookflare software and branding remain ours or our licensors’.

Plans and billing

The pricing page lists provisional prices and limits. The final charge, billing period and applicable taxes must be shown before you pay. Payments are processed through Stripe.

A free trial needs no payment. There is one free trial per person, and a website that was monitored on a free trial cannot be monitored on another free trial for 12 months. When it ends, scans, uptime checks and alerts stop; your websites, settings, approved baseline screenshots and issues stay in your account until you delete it (scan history and screenshots older than 30 days are removed, as on any account without a plan), and monitoring continues when you choose a plan.

Where you choose a recurring subscription, it renews until canceled through billing settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. A downgrade is available only once your account already fits the lower plan: remove the websites, pages, team members or other usage it does not include first. It takes effect at the end of the paid period, and until then you cannot add more than the lower plan allows.

Before billing launches: confirm renewal notices, cancellation timing, downgrade handling and refund rules. No refund exclusion in this draft overrides mandatory consumer rights. Contact us about an incorrect charge or service problem.

Availability and account closure

Maintenance, third-party failures and security incidents may interrupt monitoring. We may restrict access to address misuse, unpaid charges or security risks, with notice where reasonably possible. You can stop using the service and contact us about account closure.

Monitoring history expires according to your plan; do not rely on Rookflare as permanent storage. Before launch: confirm export options, account-deletion procedures and backup deletion periods. You can delete your account in the dashboard settings. Personal data and the service providers we use (hosting, storage, email, SMS and calls, payments, sign-in and error monitoring) are described in our privacy policy.

Responsibility, changes and disputes

Nothing here limits rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Legal review required: define warranties, any liability cap and the treatment of indirect losses.

Material changes to these terms or an existing subscription should be communicated before taking effect, except where urgent legal or security action is needed. The updated date identifies this draft’s latest revision.

Governing law and courts: [confirm jurisdiction]. Mandatory consumer protections remain applicable. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute.
