Alerts
Slack
Alerts and the daily summary in a Slack channel.
Integration guide
Email alerts work on every plan. Pick recipients from your team, send a test and choose per website which alerts go out.
Overview
Setup
Step 1
Open Notifications → Channels, select “Add channel”, choose Email, give it a name such as “Team inbox” and tick the recipients.
Step 2
Open the channel’s menu and select “Send test”. Check the inboxes, including spam, and the channel’s status changes to “Working”.
Step 3
In the Daily summary card, choose the hour and your time zone. The summary lists open issues, new issues and changes to review from the previous day.
Step 4
On the Alert preferences tab, pick the lowest severity that alerts for each website (Critical, High, Medium or Low) and whether resolved notices and the daily summary go out. Visual changes to review follow the same setting.
Troubleshooting
Rookflare only emails verified addresses. Ask them to confirm their email address from the message they got when they joined; alerts reach them after that.
Check spam and any rule that filters automatic mail, then look at Notifications → History. A “Failed” entry shows why, for example that none of the recipients is a verified member any more.
Rookflare caps the number of alert emails per organization per day. Raise the lowest severity for busy websites, or add Slack for the rest.
Rookflare sends one alert when an issue opens, not one per scan, and tells you again only when it gets worse, comes back or is resolved. Raise the lowest severity per website on the Alert preferences tab if you still get too many.
Not as an email channel: recipients must be verified team members. To pass one issue on, open it and use “Send to developer”, which emails that issue to any address.
Alerts are for your team. Clients get a monthly report instead, on Agency.
Add your address, pick the pages and approve the first scan as your baseline.
Plans start at €19 per month. Prices are provisional.
